Eunice Anyango represented Kenya in the 55th Miss International competition and won the 2nd Runner Up and Miss International Africa titles. She is a fashion model and an entrepreneur.

The very first thing you will notice about Eunice is her love for life and the people around her. Eunice had very humble beginnings. In her own words, she grew up in a place where girls were less privileged. Going to school for a girl was a dream that to many remained as that. Girls and women didn't have any independence. They didn't have an opinion. However, she was blessed enough to get the privilege of an education and the exposure of the very many opportunities in the world beyond the confines of her home village. Eunice has worked hard to get over a lot of hurdles and is now one of the top models in the country. She features as the brand muse for one of the leading fashion brands such as Adele Dejak.
Although times have changed and girls (and even more boys) can now go to school, Eunice noticed that there's still the issue of lack of examination material during national exams. Tools such as geometrical sets and clip boards are hard to afford for households that survive on less than a dollar a day in rural areas and slums. Eunice has started a programme where every year, she draws from her own savings, funds to buy enough geometrical sets and clip boards to donate to a school, in either rural and slum areas.

I was privileged to be part of her most recent visits to Little Rocks Inclusive Centre in Kibera, Africa's second largest slum.

The pupils had spent a long exhausting day in the examination room and could not hide their delight when they met the surprise they met. Eunice was able to answer the numerous questions that the excited pupils had. I am sure there are some who realised a new passion just interacting with her.
We wish the pupils success in their upcoming National examination and hope to meet them at the beginning of next year.
Would you like to be part of Eunice's initiative empowering needy pupils during exams - or other activities that will make their life in school more pleasurable? Write her an email on info(@)atienonyango(dot)com.
